Valentine's Day

So far, I have just been talking about my love life. There are other things happening in my life of course. But I do want to imprint the nice things I am experiencing right now. I tend to just write about my gripes...

Valentine's Day was really special. I can truly say that it has been the most romantic day of my life so far. I am sooo spoilt. When I got back on my desk at work, there lay a big white box with a bow in it. I opened it up to reveal 12 pink long-stemmed roses with a very loving note that says - "You bring joy and happiness in my life. I love you very much with all my heart."

Our deal was that we are not going to buy gifts for each other. We'll just wait when we get to Thailand to do our Valentine shopping. However, when he picked me up after my work, he gave me a spa bath collection from Body Shop in the car. I was so elated. Then embarrassed cause I rock up with my half-done blank card. Which caused a little drama afterwards. I was truly sorry (and recognised the error of my ways). When we did get home, I wrote a very long and loving note in it and he was then satisfied. I also pointed it out to him that I wasn't lazy and that I did put effort to show him my love. I already organised our accomodation at the Stamford Hotel in Double Bay weeks before our romantic Valentine weekend and also I bought lingerie to please him! (A bit rated-R).

After he picked me up, we decided to try a different location to grab dinner. We went to Crows Nest and had a drink at the Crows Nest hotel. I had a Wolf Blass brut and I am sure he ordered Heineken on tap. We then went for a walk along Pacific Highway to look for a cafe/restaurant to eat in. We decided that New Orleans Cafe is the best one for a quick bite. We had Salt-and-Pepper Squid for entree. For our mains, I had Jambalaya and he had Lemon Chicken on a bed or rice with saffron and raisins. We also ordered mash with it. For our dessert, we went to Mado Cafe in Auburn for a taste of something different. We ordered the Mado Classic which had the really hard ice-cream and three Turkish sweets in it - one being I recognised as baklava. We also had turkish tea.

It was such a lovely day and memorable day for me.
